Good to know
Are King Prawns the same as Eral or Chemmeen?
Yes — Eral in Tamil, Chemmeen in Malayalam. These are the large, meaty prawns, a step up from everyday prawns.
Do you peel and devein them?
Yes — tell us at checkout and we’ll send them peeled and deveined, or shell-on if you prefer more flavour in the pan.
What can I cook with king prawns?
Everything from a fast prawn fry to a rich coconut curry, biryani or a grill — their size means they stay juicy however you cook them.
What do king prawns taste like?
Sweet, firm and succulent, with more bite than smaller prawns — which is why they hold up so well in curries and on skewers.
How are they packed for delivery?
Prepared to your order, vacuum-packed in a sealed bag and sent chilled, so they arrive fresh and clean with no leaks in the box.
